Thomas Lamb & Sons (Hetton-le-Hole) Ltd black backed steel tray dating from the 1920s. The brewery was founded by Thomas Lamb on Barnes Street in Hetton-le-Hole in 1823. Thomas Lamb traded as the sole proprietor until 1884 when he was joined by his sons. The Company was registered as Thomas Lamb & Sons Ltd in 1917. The name was changed to Thomas Lamb & Sons (Hetton-le-Hole) Ltd in 1920. The business, with 40 tied houses, was acquired by Vaux & Associated Breweries Ltd in 1925. Brewing ceased in 1929. The manufacturer's mark states - Hancock, Corfield & Waller, Ltd Mitcham London 0.5 M 23.F.FT.
