Robert Knox (Cambus) Ltd tin tray dating from the early 1950s. The Forth Brewery, Cambus was based in Alloa, Central.

Robert Knox (Cambus) Ltd tin tray dating from the early 1950s. The business was founded at Tullibody in 1786 and had moved to Cambus by 1792. The Forth Brewery opened in 1866. The Company was registered as Robert Knox (Cambus) Ltd in 1951 and was acquired by Blair & Co. Ltd in 1955. The Forth Brewery was closed in 1956. In 1957 the site was purchased from Blair & Co. Ltd by whisky distiller George P. Christie's North of Scotland Distilling Co.. Christie sold the old brewery buildings to DCL in 1980 and they were demolished in 1982. The manufacturer's mark states - Reginald Corfield Ltd Lombard Road.London.S.W.19. The tray featured does not have the word "Limited" displayed leading me to believe that the tray dates from around 1950.
