Robert Henry Stiles Round Brass

Robert Henry Stiles brass tray dating from the 1910s. The brewery was founded in Bridgend by Thomas Lewis in 1844 and was purchased by Robert Henry Stiles in 1871. The Company was a brewer, maltster, aerated water manufacturer, and wine & spirit merchant. The brewery was acquired by H.& G.Simonds Ltd of Reading in 1938 with 37 public houses. Brewing had already ceased before this date.
