Harman's Uxbridge Brewery Ltd tin tray dating from the 1950s. The business was established around 1730 by George Harman. The Company traded as Harman & Co. and was run by Stanislaus Ronayne Conran and Alice Fleetwood Webb until its registration. The Company was registered as Harman's Uxbridge Brewery Ltd in 1924 to acquire S.R.Conran of Hornchurch and the Old Brewery of Alice F.Webb based in Uxbridge. The Hornchuch brewery was sold to Mann, Crossman & Paulin Ltd in 1925. R.Halley Ltd, brewers based in Slough, was acquired by Harman's in 1954. The Old Brewery and its pub estate was acquired by Courage, Barclay, Simonds & Co. Ltd in 1962. Brewing ceased at Halley's Slough brewery in 1963 and Harman's Old Brewery in 1964. The Company was liquidated in 1967.
