Moors' & Robson's Breweries Ltd tin tray dating from the late 1950s. The business was registered in 1888 as Hull United Breweries Ltd to acquire Henry & Charles Moor, Crown Brewery on Francis Street, Hull and Edward Robson on Waterworks Street, Hull. The Company was renamed Moors' & Robson's Breweries Ltd a few months later. Brewing was concentrated at the Crown Brewery. The firm traded sussessfully and in 1919 it purchased two breweries, C.A.Guy & Co. of Grimsby and E.D.Nesfield of Scarborough. When Moors' & Robson's Breweries Ltd was acquired and closed by Hewitt Brothers Lrd of Grimsby in 1960, its estate totalled 138 tied houses.
