The Commercial Brewery was founded on Canongate, in Edinburgh, in 1868. It was operated by Morison & Thomson until 1877 when it was acquired by J. & J.Morison. The Company was registered as J. & J.Morison Ltd in 1946.
The Commercial Brewery was acquired by Scottish Brewers Ltd in 1960.
For a short time the brewery was used by Scottish Brewers Ltd for experimental brewing.
The manufacturer's mark is extremely worn but the word Glasgow is visible.
