Crosswell's Cardiff Brewery Ltd ceramic jug dating from the 1930s. The Company was originally founded as an agent for the sale of Showell & Co. Ltd's beers in South Wales. The Company was registered in 1897 to amalgamate the businesses of the Caerphilly Brewery Co. Ltd and Crosswell's Ltd. The Company was acquired by Andrew Buchan's Breweries Ltd of Rhymney in 1938 and brewing ceased in 1947, although bottling continued until 1958.
