The Chesham brewery was founded in 1841 whilst the brewery of Hopcraft & Norris was founded in Brackley in 1842.
The Chesham brewery was registered as the Chesham Brewery Ltd in 1895 to acquire the business of T. & J.Nash whilst Hopcraft & Norris Ltd was also registered in 1895.
The Chesham Brewery Ltd merged with Hopcraft & Norris Ltd in 1946 and the Company was named Chesham & Brackley Breweries Ltd.
The Company was acquired by Taylor, Walker & Co Ltd in 1956.
Brewing ceased at Chesham in 1957 and at Brackley in 1959.
The public houses were transferred to Benskin's Watford Brewery in 1962.
