Charles Henry Kynaston copper tray dating from the 1890s. From the late 1700s the business traded as a brewer and malster. In 1892 Charles Henry Kynaston built a new Drawwell Brewery on Noble Street in Wem. The Noble Street brewery was acquired by the Shropshire Brewery Co. Ltd in 1898 which then changed its name to the Shrewsbury & Wem Brewery Co. Ltd. The Noble Street brewery was acquired by Greenall Whitley & Co. Ltd in 1951 and brewing ceased in 1988.
