The company had been trading as C.H.Chater & Co. before it was registered as the Brampton Brewery Co. Ltd in 1897. The brewery was acquired by Warwicks & Richardsons Ltd in 1955. The tray featured was one of many produced for breweries throughout Britain to commemorate the Coronation of King George VI in 1937. The manufacturer's mark states - 'Hancor' Mitcham Made in England
