Albion Brewery (Leeds) Ltd ashtray dating from the late 1920s. The business was established on Woodhouse Lane in Leeds by Benjamin Hallawell in 1851. The Albion Brewery was sold to John Young & Co. in 1860. The Company was registered as the Albion Brewery (Leeds) Ltd in 1897 with 39 public houses, and 31 off-licences. The Albion Brewery was acquired by the Kirkstall Brewery Co. Ltd with 99 public houses in 1927, and brewing ceased in 1933. The site was demolished and is now the Merrion Centre. The manufacturer's mark states - The Associated Potteries Co. Sole Proprietors Hancock, Corfield & Waller Ltd Mitcham. London & The Potteries.
