Founded in Pocklington Moved to Huntington in York
The original brewery was built on Chapmangate in Pocklington in Humberside in the 1880s.
It was leased by John Smith's Tadcaster Brewery Co. Ltd to Yorkshire & District Clubs between 1924 and 1933.
The firm was financed by a group of local railwaymen and with that association it was branded the 'Loco Ales' brewery.
The business moved to Huntington in York in 1933.
It traded as the York & District Clubs brewery until 1939 when it merged with the Leeds & District Clubs Ltd.

The Company was registered as the Yorkshire Clubs Brewery Ltd.
The brewery was acquired by Northern Clubs Federation Brewery Ltd in 1973 when it supplied about 180 clubs with a wide range of beers.
Brewing ceased in 1975.
