Waller & Son Ltd brass tray dating from the 1900s.
The Trafalgar Brewery
The Trafalgar Brewery was built in Bradford for C.Waller & Co. in 1853.
The Company was registered as Waller & Son Ltd in 1887.
Waller's was a well respected firm and by the end of the 19th century it owned more than 90 public houses, mainly in the Bradford area.
The Trafalgar Brewery was sold to the Midland Railway in 1914 and brewing ceased in 1916.
The brewery buildings were used by a chocolate manufacturer, a firm of drum manufacturers, and an oil business.
The Hipperholme Brewery
The plant and equipment was put up for sale and brewing was transferred to Brear & Brown's Hipperholme Brewery in 1917.
The Company had continued its bottling activities at premises it owned in Millergate in Bradford, and In 1925 it was re-registered as Waller's Bradford Brewery Ltd.
In 1935 it was acquired by the Leeds & Wakefield Breweries Ltd.
The Trafalgar Brewery was demolished in 1953.
I am searching for round brass pre 1900 tray with a beaded edge which has exactly the same design as the tray featured.
