The Worcester Brewery of brewers and maltsters J.W & J.V.Stallard, was purchased with 7 tied houses by brothers Herbert William Spreckley and Arthur George Spreckley, in 1884.
The business traded as Spreckley Brothers until 1897 when Spreckley Brothers merged with George Joseland & Sons of Worcester and the firm's name changed to Spreckley Brothers Ltd, with a total estate of 57 public houses.
The Worcester Brewery was acquired by Cheltenham & Hereford Breweries Ltd, with 68 public houses, in 1958.
Brewing ceased in 1960 and the Company was liquidated in the same year.
Some of the maltings remain as housing.
The manufacturer's mark states - Reginald Corfield Ltd Lombard Road, London. S.W.19.
There are two versions of this tray, one pre-war and one post-war.
The tray featured is the pre-war version.
