Previously a hat factory, the Albion Brewery was founded in Oldham by William Boothby in 1868.
The Company was registered as the Oldham Brewery Co.Ltd in 1873.
The Albion Brewery was acquired by Boddington's Brewery Ltd in 1982 with 87 public houses.
An agreement was made to keep the brewery open for five years. It closed in 1988.
The Albion Brewery was partly demolished in 1998.
In 2006 Frederick Robinson Ltd purchased the Oldham Brewery brands and for a short period it brewed OB Bitter.
The manufacturer's mark states - Hancock Corfield & Waller Ltd Mitcham London.
