The Company was registered as Oldfield's Poolstock Brewery Co. Ltd in 1876 to acquire the business of Charles Oldfield.
Charles Oldfield died in 1888 and the Company was re-registered as the Oldfield Brewery Ltd.
The Poolstock Brewery was acquired by Walker Cain Ltd in 1926 with 90 public houses.
Brewing had ceased by 1930 and the Poolstock Brewery was dismantled.
