The brewhouse was inside the maltings of John Henry Taylor.
The Company was known as the Northants & Leicestershire Co-operative Brewery Ltd until 1960 when its name changed to the Midlands Clubs Brewery Ltd.
In 1961 its range of beers included Golden Brown, Royal Brown Ale, IPA Club Light, Club Six, and Strong Ale.
The brewery closed in 1969. Some of the buildings remain.
