The Company was registered as Fern Vale Brewery Co. Ltd in 1918 to acquire the business of D.L.Treharne, which had been trading from at least 1876.
Fern Vale Brewery Co. Ltd was purchased by Webbs (Aberbeeg) Ltd in 1949.
Webbs (Aberbeeg) Ltd was acquired by Northern Breweries of Great Britain Ltd in 1960, renamed United Breweries Ltd in 1962. United Breweries Ltd merged with Charrington & Co. Ltd to form Charrington United Breweries Ltd, which in turn merged with Bass, Mitchells & Butlers Ltd to create Bass Charrington Ltd in 1967.
Brewing ceased at the Fern Vale Brewery in 1970.
The brewery was demolished in the 1980s and replaced by housing.
