Dudgeon & Co. Ltd tin tray dating from the 1960s.

The brewery was established in Dunbar by local market gardner John Johnstone in 1719.
His beer quickly gained a reputation for its quality and was featured regularly in a number of London publications.
The business was acquired by Ellis Dudgeon in 1815 and traded as Dudgeon & Co.
The Company was registered as Dudgeon & Co. Ltd in 1944.
In 1972 Clydesdale Commmonwealth Hotels Ltd acquired the business, with its 7 public houses, and the name was changed to the Belhaven Brewery Co. Ltd.
A consortium, which included Nazmu Virani, purchased the Company in 1979, however, in the same year it was sold to Raymond Miquel but was re-purchased back by Virani's Company, Control Securities plc in 1981.
In 1993 the business was acquired through a management buy-out led by Stuart Ross.
In 2005 the Company was purchased by Greene King plc and is still brewing under the Belhaven name in Dunbar.
In 2019 CK Asset Holdings announced the take over of The Greene King Group.
Belhaven brewery is the oldest working brewery in Scotland.
