The Company was founded on the corner of Henry Street and Ashted Row, Ashted, Birmingham, in 1859.
The firm also owned maltings on Windsor Street in Birmingham.
Benjamin Kelsey Ltd merged with H.E.Thornley Ltd of Leamington Spa in 1933 to form Thornley Kelsey Ltd.
Brewing was concentrated at Leamington Spa and the Henry Street Brewery closed in 1960.
