John Kenyon built the Rossendale Brewery on Bacup Road, Clough Fold, in 1867.
He acquired Hartley and Bell's Clough Springs Brewery on Wheatley Lane in Barrowford, with 6 tied houses, in 1888.
The Company was registered as John Kenyon Ltd in 1897 to acquire both breweries.
The business, with 78 public houses, was purchased by Massey's Burnley Brewery Ltd in 1928 when it was closed.
