John Edward Garside Albert Brewery ceramic jug dating from the 1910s.
The Albert Brewery was based in Mossley near Ashton-under-Lyne.
The jug advertises Cooper's Home Brewed Ale.
In 1909 there is mention of a brewer in Mossley called Thomas Cooper.
I suspect John Edward Garside took over this brewery and retained the Cooper's name.
The business became bankrupt in 1915.
