The City Brewery was based on Birmingham Road, in Lichfield, Staffordshire.

The Company was registered as the City Brewery Co. (Lichfield) Ltd in 1874. It was re-floated in 1900.
The City Brewery was destroyed by fire in 1916, but the Ministry of Munitions refused permission for it to be rebuilt.
As a result, the City Brewery Co. (Lichfield) Ltd, with its 200 public houses, was acquired by Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries Ltd in 1917.
The site was used as maltings until 2005.
The tray featured has a printing error. The word Lichfield is spelt wrongly and it appears on the tray as "Licheeld"
