The business was founded by Peter Austin in 1978 at Minty's Yard and moved to new premises in Ringwood in 1986.
In 1988 the brewery was awarded 'Champion Beer of the Year' by the Campaign for Real Ale for its 'Old Thumper' beer.
Demand for its ales enabled the Company to extend its brewhouse in 1994, with a further extension in 1999.
The Company was registered in 2004 as the Ringwood Brewery Ltd.
The Company was purchased by Marston's plc, in 2007.
The brewery ceased brewing in 2024.
