The Company was registered in 1889 as Hardy's Crown Brewery Ltd.
The Crown brewery was acquired by Northern Breweries of Great Britain Ltd, with 73 public houses, in 1962.
Northern Breweries of Great Britain Ltd was later named United Breweries Ltd, and then when it merged with Charrington & Co. Ltd, the name was changed again to Charrington United Breweries Ltd.
Hardy's Crown Brewery was closed by Charrington United Breweries Ltd in 1965, and the Crown Brewery was demolished shortly afterwards.
The manufacturer's mark states - Reginald Corfield Ltd Lombard Road. London. S.W.19.
