The Old Salop Brewery was based on Chester Street in Shrewsbury.
The Company was registered as the Salop Brewery Co. Ltd in 1866 but ceased brewing in 1877.
The site was acquired by Thomas Southam as a mineral water factory and was re-equipped in 1880 as a brewery.
The business traded as Thomas Southam's Old Salop Brewery.
The brewery was upgraded and enlarged in 1889.
The Company was registered as Southam's Brewery Ltd in 1926.
The Old Salop Brewery, with 94 tied houses, was acquired by Threlfall Chesters Ltd in 1966 and brewing ceased.
The Old Salop Brewery was demolished in 1967.
