West Auckland Brewery Co. Ltd alloy tray dating from the early 1950s. The business was founded as the West Auckland Joint Stock Brewery Co. by J.H.Tamplin in 1840. It went into liquidation in 1877 and was bought by a consortium of brewers and malsters which included J.W.Cameron & Co. Ltd. The new Company was registered as the West Auckland Brewery Co. Ltd. The brewery was acquired outright by J.W.Cameron Ltd in 1959 with 75 licensed houses, and brewing ceased in 1962.
