United Caledonian Breweries Ltd tin tray dating from the 1960s. I am unsure where Red Cap Pale Ale was produced but would guess that it was brewed at an Edinburgh brewery in Lothian.

The Company was registered in 1960 to operate as a management company for the Scottish interests of Northern Breweries of Great Britain Ltd. In 1963 the company took over the training activities of Aitchison Jeffrey Ltd, James Aitken & Co. (Falkirk) Ltd, James Calder & Co. (Brewers) Ltd, John Fowler & Co. Ltd, Wiiliam Murray & Co. Ltd and William Younger & Co. Ltd. In 1966 the Company merged with J.& R.Tennent Ltd to form Tennent Caledonian Breweries Ltd. The manufacturer's mark states - Printed in Great Britain by Reginald Corfield Ltd. M0187
