Holt Brewery Co. Ltd Round Copper

Holt Brewery Co. Ltd copper tray dating from the 1910s. The Fulford family, who were originally maltsters, commenced brewing on Holt Street, Birmingham, in 1878. The Company was registered as the Holt Brewery Co. Ltd in 1887 and the brewery was reconstructed in 1896. The brewery, 250 tied houses, and its famous squirrel trademark, was acquired by Ansells Brewery Ltd in 1934. The brewery was not closed until 1974.
