H.B.Clark & Co. (Successors) Ltd Round Alloy

H.B.Clark & Co. (Successors) Ltd alloy tray dating from the late 1940s. Brewing started in 1905 and the Company was named after the manager Henry Boon Clark. The Westgate Brewery operated until 1960. Brewing up until this time was not continuous, only to meet free trade demand. Brewing recommenced on the same site in a new smaller brewhouse in 1982. Brewng ceased again in 2017 and production was transferred to Castle Eden. The business was acquired by the Kitwave Group, a drinks wholesaler from the North East, in 2019, and is still based in Wakefield.
